PREMIER LEAGUE WEEKEND PREDICTIONS

Predictions are made by former defender Ramiz Mamedov and Sport Express journalist Andrey Kuzichev.


FC Tom – Zenit

Expert prediction: 0-1. No doubts Zenit will win. Only one set-piece will be decisive.

Sport press prediction: 0-1. Nepomnyaschy’s team is uncompromising at home stands, however Spalletti’s club looks one of the main favourites of the championship now.

CSKA – Lokomotiv

Expert prediction: 1-1. CSKA started the season earlier. On one hand they are better prepared, but on the other hand they are surfeited with football. Lokomotiv players are little bit fresher, but anyway teams’ chances are almost equal.

Sport press prediction: 1-1. Army men look more preferable, but I hardly believe in the second straight defeat of Semin’s men.

Amkar – Rubin

Expert prediction: 0-1. Rubin conceded only one goal in five games. And Amkar is likely to score this time.

Sport press prediction: 0-0. Rubin is not so inventive without Dominguez and injured Gokdeniz. Amkar is well-organized team, so the draw is the most probable variant.

Alaniya – Sibir
Expert prediction: 0-0. Sibir has nowhere to step back as they cannot afford to lose. I think the match will end in goalless draw.

Sport press prediction: 2-1. Sibir will score, but hosts have more advantages.

Terek – Dynamo

Expert prediction: 1-2. Level of Dynamo is much higher and it will be decision against Terek.

Sport press prediction: 1-1. Dynamo always plays in Grozny with some problems, while Terek is more balanced now.

Saturn – Spartak

Expert prediction: 1-2. Spartak has better attack, but I wouldn’t except the draw.

Sport press prediction: 2-1. The draw seems to be more preferable result, however my previous predictions for Saturn draw have failed.

Spartak Nalchik – Krylya Sovetov

Expert prediction: 2-0. Though Krylya Sovetov sealed their first victory, it’s unlikely that they will snatch any points in Nalchik.

Sport press prediction: 2-1. Yuriy Krasnozhan’s men are not eager to lose points.

Anzhi – Rostov

Expert prediction: 1-1. I guess teams will create equal number of scoring opportunities and score maximum one goal each.

Sport press prediction: 2-0. Six goals of Anzhi in two matchdays let us stake on the home side.
